Curtain Track Installation Planning: Ceiling, Wall & Double Tracks

A complete order starts with a clear installation detail. Use this guide to prepare the drawing and component list for model-specific review.

01 · Define ceiling or wall mounting

Photograph the mounting surface and show it in section. Identify the finished ceiling line, wall position and available fixing space. Ceiling-mount and wall-mount brackets are separate choices; select the bracket that matches both the track and the installation detail.

02 · Draw each curtain layer

Show whether the installation uses one track, two tracks or a curtain box. Include the curtain stack position, corners and any obstructions. Confirm the spacing and bracket arrangement for the selected system rather than using one distance for all profiles.

03 · Order the moving and finishing parts together

Specify gliders or rollers, brackets, connectors and end caps with the track. For S-fold curtains, confirm the runner type, spacing and heading-tape connection. S-fold runner versions differ for recessed, motorized, straight and ultra-thin ceiling tracks.

What should a dimensioned installation drawing include?

Include each run length, corners or curve, the mounting surface, available ceiling or wall space, curtain layers and the planned joints. For motorized systems, add motor position and power provision.

How do I specify decorative curtain poles?

Confirm pole diameter and length, finials, mounting parts and finish as a coordinated set. Use the mounting dimensions shown for the selected collection; do not apply one bracket size to every pole.
